Sony patent of Honeycom Imager
Sony applied for a patent about Honeycom Image Sensor. It is not normal the Honeycom. Because Sony made a device on an electronic circuit, it can expect low cost and number of the pixels increase.

In fact, there was already omen. Sony α900 and α850 or others adopts 40-Segment Multi-Pattern Metering. Sony will have already had technology about the honeycom.
Speaking of a honeycom CCD or CMOS, the Super CCD Honeycom EXR of Fujifilm is famous. As for the merit of honeycom, form of a pixel is almost a circle. They which formed a line are equal in an interval. Because the conventional pixel was a square, the space of the slippage direction was large and harmed a feeling of definition.
I want Sony competes with Fujifilm and to make a better product.
